Meta Opens Metaverse Engineering Center in Canada, to Hire 2,500 Employees

Meta has announced the opening of a new engineering center in Canada to build a metaverse to drive a new generation of immersive online social experiences. The engineering center is said to be based in Toronto and is expected to recruit 2,500 employees. Meta says the Canadian engineering center will focus on engineering research and development, with the potential to expand into AR/VR content and Meta technology development in the future.
