Musk Backs Theory Quantum Computers Can't Break Bitcoin

Elon Musk endorsed a physics theory suggesting quantum computers are limited to around 400 qubits, which is below the estimated 835 logical qubits needed to break Bitcoin signatures. This support has been interpreted by traders as evidence of Bitcoin's security against quantum threats, although the theory remains untested and IBM targets only 200 logical qubits by 2029.
