Dfinity Foundation to File Lawsuit Against Meta Over Logo

Dfinity Foundation does not want to be associated with Meta, which registered the logo in 2018 and Facebook registered it in 2021. The lawsuit claims that customers will be confused because of the similarities between the two. Dfinity Foundation says, "If these users associate Dfinity with Meta's online privacy scandal, Dfinity will be seriously harmed in its ability to develop and engage users of Internet Computer. " Dfinity has asked the court to enjoin Meta's use of the logo, as well as to grant unspecified relief and damages for "serious reputational harm".
