NEAR Wallet to No Longer Allow Users to Recover Accounts Using Email or SMS

NEAR announced that in order to maintain the highest level of security, NEAR wallet no longer allows users to create accounts using email or sms for account recovery. Previously, to improve the usability on NEAR wallet, it sent user telemetry data to a 3rd party service for users who used SMS or email recovery. However, on 6/6/2022 a bug was reported in the wallet. There was a potential vulnerability in the security of wallets that used email or SMS recovery as data travelled to the third party service.
