Noble, a new app-chain designed specifically for native asset issuance in the Cosmos and Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) ecosystem, is set to launch on March 27, 2023. The project has been developed by a team of core Cosmos contributors over the course of several months, and features a stable and secure Cosmos SDK appchain with industry-standard smart contracting capabilities. Noble has been rumered to be the native $USDC issuance chain for Cosmos ecosystem since early February.
As part of the mainnet launch, Noble will issue 500 frienzie (FRNZ) tokens to the Cosmos community. These tokens won’t be used for staking or for governance, they will be redeemable for Noble friendship bracelets and Noble NFTs on Stargaze
Noble provides a stable and reliable platform for asset issuers in the rapidly evolving Cosmos ecosystem, and has achieved key milestones in chain development, auditing, testing, and security. The app-chain will launch as a Proof of Authority chain initially with a trusted validator set, representing a subset of Cosmos Hub validators. Economic security will derive from the permissioned nature of the set, as well as fees captured by the chain in assets issued on Noble on a block-by-block basis.
