$PEPE Contract Has a Blacklist Function and a Token Burning Function

May 06,2023,09:11

According to @0xCygaar, the $PEPE contract has a blacklist function that can prevent someone from receiving or sending tokens; 0xAf2358e98683265cBd3a48509123d390dDf54534 has been added to the blacklist, with a token value of about 8 million US dollars; this address purchased $PEPE within a few hours after the launch of the Uniswap trading pair and was added to the blacklist 8 minutes after the purchase.

The blacklist can never be modified; currently, no other addresses are on the blacklist. The contract has a burning function but no further minting capabilities, which means that the total supply of $PEPE cannot increase but can decrease.
