Worldcoin announced that it will increase the number of available Orbs, its iris scanning device, to 1,500 throughout the summer and fall in 35 cities around the world, in an effort to increase access to World ID.
Worldcoin went live today and launched its token $WLD. More than 2 million people have signed up. According to the project, the availability of 1,500 Orbs will more than 5x sign up capacity globally and enable millions of additional people to receive World ID.
Worldcoin plans to make the Orbs available in 35 cities in 20 countries or regions by the end of 2023. The list of cities is as follows:
