Guaranteed Stop Loss (Guaranteed SL) FAQ

October 19, 2026 at 03:11 PM

1.What Is Guaranteed Stop Loss (Guaranteed SL)?

Guaranteed Stop Loss (Guaranteed SL) is a paid risk management feature designed to help traders close their futures positions at a predetermined stop-loss price, even during extreme market volatility.

Unlike a regular stop-loss order, which may experience slippage during execution, Guaranteed SL ensures that your position is closed at your specified stop-loss price once the trigger condition is met, eliminating execution slippage.

This helps traders manage potential losses more effectively, particularly during periods of significant market volatility.

Currently Supported Trading Pairs:

  • BTCUSDT
  • ETHUSDT
  • SOLUSDT

Guaranteed SL is currently available for these three USDT-margined perpetual futures trading pairs.

2. What Is the Difference Between Regular Stop Loss and Guaranteed Stop Loss?

Both Regular Stop Loss and Guaranteed Stop Loss are designed to help traders manage potential losses. However, they differ in execution price, performance during extreme market conditions, and fees.

ComparisonRegular Stop LossGuaranteed Stop Loss
Execution PriceExecuted at the available market price, which may experience slippage.Executed at the specified stop-loss price without slippage.
Market VolatilityRapid price movements may cause execution at a less favorable price.Guarantees execution at the specified stop-loss price when successfully triggered and executed.
FeesNo additional stop-loss feature fee. Standard trading fees may apply.Additional Guaranteed SL fee applies upon successful execution.

Example:

Suppose you open a BTCUSDT long position with the following details:

  • Entry Price: 100,000 USDT
  • Position Size: 1 BTC
  • Stop-Loss Price: 98,000 USDT

Due to sudden market volatility, the BTC price drops rapidly.

 Regular Stop LossGuaranteed Stop Loss
Stop-Loss Price98,000 USDT98,000 USDT
Actual Execution Price96,000 USDT (illustrative)98,000 USDT
Position Loss4,000 USDT2,000 USDT

With Guaranteed SL, the position is closed at the specified stop-loss price of 98,000 USDT, preventing additional losses caused by slippage.

Note: This example is for illustration purposes only. Calculations exclude trading fees, funding fees, and Guaranteed SL fees. Guaranteed SL does not prevent liquidation if the position reaches liquidation conditions before the stop-loss is triggered.

3. How to Enable Guaranteed Stop Loss

Guaranteed SL is available on both the BloFin Web and App platforms.

You can enable this feature when setting or modifying the stop-loss for an eligible futures position.

  1. Navigate to the Futures Trading page.
  2. Select a supported trading pair (BTCUSDT, ETHUSDT, or SOLUSDT).
  3. Open the Take Profit / Stop Loss (TP/SL) settings.
  4. Enter your desired stop-loss trigger price.
  5. Select the Enable Guaranteed Stop Loss option.

Important: Guaranteed SL orders are subject to a maximum order size limit. If your order exceeds the maximum permitted size for a single Guaranteed SL order, you will not be able to enable the feature successfully.

4. Guaranteed Stop Loss Fees

Guaranteed SL is a paid feature. However, fees are only charged when the Guaranteed Stop Loss order is successfully executed.

If the Guaranteed SL order is not executed, no Guaranteed SL fee will be charged.

The applicable Guaranteed SL fee rate will be published on BloFin's official fee information page after the feature launches.

Please refer to the official fee page for the latest applicable rates.

5. How Does Guaranteed Stop Loss Work?

Once Guaranteed SL is enabled, the system monitors the selected stop-loss trigger condition.

When the trigger condition is met:

  1. The Guaranteed Stop Loss is activated.
  2. The system closes the applicable position at the predetermined stop-loss price.
  3. The execution price matches the specified stop-loss price, eliminating slippage.
  4. The applicable Guaranteed SL fee is charged upon successful execution.

Important: If the position reaches liquidation conditions before the Guaranteed SL is triggered, the system will proceed with the normal liquidation process.
