Fed Proposes $20M Risk Charge for Stablecoin Issuers

Under a new Federal Reserve proposal, a covered stablecoin issuer holding $1B in stablecoins with no non-reserve revenue would face a $20M baseline operating-risk charge. This charge is separate from coin-backing reserves and applies before loss adjustments and other charges.
