a16z Team Submits New MakerDAO Tokenomics Proposal

a16z team, together with RIpplewood Advisors member luca_pro, has proposed a new tokenomics for MakerDAO that includes requiring $MKR as additional on-chain collateral for any RWA-based or structured vaults; creating a $MKR insurance pool as a Secondary Surplus Buffer and providing rewards for $MKR stakers; implementing pro-$MKR incentives for certain auctions in MakerDAO; etc. In addition, a16z has indicated that it will abstain from voting in connection with the proposal in order to prevent adverse effects in the governance process and potential conflicts of interest.
