Alibaba Cloud, the cloud division of Chinese tech giant Alibaba, has announced the creation of Cloudverse, a launchpad for businesses to develop and deploy metaverses on the Avalanche blockchain. The platform aims to offer end-to-end solutions for companies to customize and maintain their metaverse spaces, enabling new ways of customer engagement.
Avalanche will supply the technology for constructing the metaverse spaces, while Alibaba Cloud will handle computing and storage. This collaboration marks Alibaba's second partnership with a blockchain network in less than a month, following its agreement with Mysten Labs to provide node services for validators on the Sui Layer 1 blockchain's testnet.
