Base Records More Transactions than Arbitrum

Base, the new Ethereum Layer 2 built on top of the OP stack by Coinbase, has recorded more transactions than Arbitrum yesterday. According to l2beat data, Base past day's daily average transaction per second was recorded 9.93, higher than that of Arbitrum 6.17. The number of transactions on Base has risen almost 50% during past week.

Base is also seeing a comparable number of addresses performing app interactions daily to Optimism and Arbitrum in past few days at around 80K/daily. Moreover, Base is consistently seeing over 10K contracts deployed daily which are multiple of contracts deployed on alternative L2s such as Arbitrum and Optimism accroding to data from Artemis.
