Bitcoin's Ordinals has hit a new milestone, surpassing 10 million inscriptions on the BTC network, shortly after its creator Casey Rodarmor stepped down as the project's caretaker.

Rodarmor cited his inability to give Ordinals the necessary attention as the reason for his decision. He has since handed over the role to pseudonymous coder Raphjaph.
Launched in January, the Ordinals protocol quickly became the most popular way to mint new assets on the Bitcoin blockchain. The recent advent of the BRC-20 token standard further boosted the number of Ordinals inscriptions. Developed by pseudonymous coder "Domo," the BRC-20 standard allowed users to mint tokens entirely on Bitcoin for the first time in history.
