ResearchHub, a crypto research platform co-founded by Coinbase's CEO, has closed a $5 million Series A round to accelerate scientific research using cryptocurrencies. The round was led by Open Source Software Capital, with participation from Boost VC, RedHat's Bob Young, Vercel's Guillermo Rauch, and Replit's Amjad Masad.
ResearchHub is building a platform that aims to allow anyone to earn crypto rewards for contributing new knowledge to the global scientific community. Users earn ResearchCoin (RSC) by posting content to ResearchHub, and the amount of RSC received is proportional to the value of the content as perceived by other members of the community.
