Cosmos Project Dymension Launches Testnet with IBC-Enabled EVM RollApp

Dymension has recently launched the 35-C testnet, which includes the deployment of the first IBC-enabled rollup. As part of this release, the Dymension system has introduced the first IBC-enabled EVM RollApp on the 35-C testnet. The EVM RollApp is a new tool that utilizes Ethermint and the RDK (RollApp Development Kit) to allow developers to deploy their EVM-compatible smart contracts with customizability, low latency, and easy bootstrapping.

The EVM RollApp will use IBC transported tokens of EVMOS to pay for gas fees. The testnet EVM RollApp will publish data transactions to Celestia's Mocha testnet and state updates to the Dymension Hub. RollApps have dedicated block producers called Sequencers.
