Increment, a DeFi protocol based on zkSync 2.0, has released a proposal for the creation and distribution of a governance token, $INCR. If the broader community votes in favour of this proposal, the $INCR token will be created and a portion will be distributed retroactively to various community members of the Increment ecosystem.
According to the proposal, at genesis, 20 million INCR tokens will be minted on Ethereum mainnet, of which 9.2 million will be allocated for token emissions to future protocol users, 2.4 million will be allocated to community users in three phases, 800,000 to ecosystem grants, partnerships, etc., 3 million to core contributors, 3.12 million to seed investors, and 1.48 million to the Development Fund.
