Iron Fish Announces Tokenomics, 945,000 $IRON to Be Airdropped to Testnet Participants

Privacy public chain Iron Fish has announced its tokenomics and will airdrop its token to eligible testnet participants. 

The initial supply of $IRON, Iron Fish's native token, is 42 million. The distribution plan of $IRON is as follows.

• Iron Fish Foundation: 18%;
• Testnet Airdrop: 2.25 %;
• Future Airdrops: 2.25 %;
• Series Preseed: 5.1 %;
• Series Seed: 9.9 %;
• Series A: 14.5 %;
• Advisors: 0.6 %;
• Core team: 37.4 %;
• IF Labs: 5 %;
• Future Endowment: 5%.

All insiders have 12-month lockup, followed by an 12 month unlock period. This includes investors, employees, and advisors. Iron Fish is a Layer-1 chain based on Proof of Work and the mainnet is expected to launch on April 30th. 

Previously, Iron Fish closed a $27.6M Series A round of funding in 2021, led by a16z with participation from Sequoia Capital and others.
