Layer1 blockchain Shardeum raised $18.2m in a seed funding round at a $199m valuation, with participation from Spartan Group, Big Brain Holdings, Jane Street and others. The fund will be used to ramp up Shardeum's marketing efforts and grow the development team. Shardeum uses dynamic state sharding technology to improve efficiency. It aims to resolve user experience issues of existing sharded blockchains.
