MakerDAO to Increase $DAI Savings Rate to 1%

MakerDAO announced that the $DAI Savings Rate (DSR) will be increased to 1% from 0.01%, as a result of a Governance Poll. DSR is the rate of interest the protocol pays to $DAI stakers.
The result enables MakerDAO's Core Units to start working on the necessary implementations to deploy a new DSR increase to 1%. The deployment of the DSR increase will be included in a future Executive Vote, where Maker Governance participants will be able to activate the change by voting.
