Sei Announces Airdrop Rules, Whitelisted Users Need to Bridge Assets to Sei to Be Eligible

Layer1 blockchain Sei announced the details of its airdrop and rewards for the incentivized testnet. Both kinds of rewards will be available to claim after the launch of Sei's public mainnet. Users can visit https: //app.sei.io/ to participate and claim rewards.

According to Sei, the whitelisted users must bridge qualifying assets into Sei from Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Polygon, BNB Chain, or Osmosis to take part in the airdrop. Participants can earn up to one airdrop per external whitelisted address linked to a Sei wallet. Bridging will be handled by either Wormhole or Axelar, and the qualifying assets include:

Wormhole:

  • Ethereum: USDC, ETH, WBTC,
  • Arbitrum: USDC.e (arbUSDC),
  • Polygon: USDC (maticUSDC),
  • Optimism: USDC (opUSDC),
  • Solana: USDC (solUSDC),
  • BNB: USDT (bnbUSDT)

IBC (Osmosis only):

  • ATOM
  • OSMO

Axelar:

  • Ethereum: axlUSDC
  • Arbitrum: axlUSDC
  • Polygon: axlUSDC
  • BNB Chain: axlUSDC

For the incentivized testnet rewards, Sei community members can check their eligibility after the mainnet launch.

Update:

After Sei's mainnet launch, the team announced that the airdrop and incentivized testnet rewards "will be claimable following an initial warmup period while the Sei Ecosystem get prepared." Currently, the whitelist is not available for checking eligibility.
