Web3 Game Studio Mythical Games Raises $37M with a16z Involved

Web3 game studio Mythical Games announced it has raised $37 million in a Series C1 funding round led by Scytale Digital, with participation from ARK Invest, Animoca Brands, MoonPay, a16z and others. The funds will be used to achieve profitability through platform updates and developments of infrastructure and new games.

Mythical Games is the studio behind NFL Rivals and Blankos Block Party. It also has Mythical Chain and a NFT marketplace called Mythical Marketplace. Mythical Games will soon launch Nitro Nation World Tour, a NFT racing game.

In November 2021, Mythical Games raised $150 million in Series C funding led by a16z. The studio said it will raise another $20 to $30 million later this year.
