Metaverse App BUD Closes $36.8 Million Series B Funding Round Led by Sequoia Capital India

Metaverse App BUD closed a $36.8 million Series B funding round led by Sequoia Capital India with participation from ClearVue Partners, NetEase and Northern Light Ventures. BUD allows users to create bulbous 3D characters, cutesy virtual assets and richly colored experiences through drag-and-drop and without any coding background, aiming to create a metaverse for Gen Z to play and interact with each other. In addition, BUD plans to introduce a marketplace for NFTs.
