Uniswap Labs Has Acquired Genie and Will Airdrop $USDC to Genie Users

Uniswap Labs has announced that it has acquired Genie, the NFT aggregation marketplace, in an undisclosed deal. NFTs will be integrated into our products, starting with the Uniswap web app, where soon users will be able to buy and sell NFTs across all major marketplaces. Uniswap will also integrate NFTs into their developer APIs and widgets. In addition, Uniswap Labs plans to airdrop $USDC to historical Genie users, which will launch in August and can be claimed for 12 months based on a snapshot already taken. This acquisition was made by Uniswap Labs and has no impact on the Uniswap Protocol, Uniswap Governance, or the $UNI token. Genie users will continue to have uninterrupted service to the Genie website until the new Uniswap NFT experience is available.
