Web3 Platform OP3N Raises $28M in Series A Led by Animoca Brands

Web3 platform OP3N announced it has raised $28 million in a Series A funding round at $100 million valuation. The round is led by Animoca Brands, with participation from Dragonfly Capital, SuperScrypt, Creative Artists Agency and others.

Based on AI, OP3N aims to combine Web2 and Web3 into a chat superapp to connect chat, commerce and community in one place. Jaeson Ma, co-CEO of OP3N, said the platform is "a Web3 version of WhatsApp meets Amazon, or WeChat meets Alibaba". The platform will have the ability to add audio, video and mixed media content to on-chain interactions, and allows creators to offer fans new ways to engage through NFT-gated experiences.

The funds raised will be used to further develop the app and to expand the team.
