Aave to Deploy on Metis Network with 100,000 $METIS as Liquidity Mining Incentives

Aave DAO has passed a proposal to deploy its version 3 on the Ethereum layer 2 Metis Network, following a unanimous community vote. The move is expected to increase market liquidity for the ecosystems and allow Metis users to benefit from Aave's borrowing and lending features.

Metis, which gained popularity during the previous bull cycle for its low fees and fast transactions, has since lost ground to networks such as Optimism and Arbitrum. However, the deployment of Aave V3 is expected to provide liquidity incentives to users and bolster network traction. Metis will offer 100,000 native $METIS tokens as a liquidity mining incentive for Aave users over a six-month period.
