Russia Actively Discussing Using Digital Currencies for International Settlement

According to Reuters, Ivan Chebeskov, head of the financial policy department under the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, was quoted saying "The idea of using digital currencies in transactions for international settlements is being actively discussed. " He thought that allowing crypto as a means of settlement for international trade would help counter the impact of Western sanctions.
