Shiba Inu announced that Shibarium, its Layer2 network based on Ethereum, is live on the mainnet, which aims to provide users with a low-cost ecosystem focusing on DeFi and gaming, and to support other parts of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, including tokens like $SHIB, $BONE, $LEASH, and more.
Shibarium is built on a consensus mechanism called Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPOS), and uses $BONE as the native token to pay for gas transactions and reward validators and delegators. Validators need to stake a minimum of 10,000 $BONE to run a node.
According to TokenInsight data, the price of $BONE dropped by 14.7% over the last 24 hours, while the price of $SHIB dropped by 9.44%.
