Coinbase has announced its plans to expand services for its Singapore customers, with the addition of new $USDC-related and staking services. This expansion is part of Coinbase's effort to bolster its international presence, amid US regulators' pressure on the crypto industry.
Coinbase received approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) last year, and now the expansion will allow Singapore customers to execute no-fee purchases of USDC for purchases in SGD, allowing users to earn rewards for holding USDC on the platform. The company will also enable staking for ETH, SOL, ADA, ATOM, and XTZ for its Singapore users.
